The kit includes a rigid, lightweight, billet aluminum cage with a special backfire resistant layer of foam laminated to the inside of the filter. These kits eliminate leaks and provide more air for power, but the filter can still be removed in a snap for cleaning. The new generation PowerFlow kit converts the filter mounting system from a clamp on filter to a filter cage and wing bolt mounting system.
